After Charlie Brown, Snoopy, the beagle, is the second main character of Peanuts. Many people don’t know a lot about Snoopy. Here’s where you can learn more.
Snoopy is a dog that rarely behaves appropriately. Most of the time, he lies on the roof of his doghouse, thinking philosophical thoughts, while waiting for the food that Charlie Brown brings to him. Snoopy cannot talk of course, but he communicates with thoughts and dance, as well as writing. Otherwise, he lives in a fantasy world. Snoopy likes to think back to old times and is the leader chief of Woodstock’s Scout group. Snoopy is inspired by art. He even had a real Vincent van Gogh hanging in his doghouse, but sadly, it was burned up in a fire one day along with his pool table. He also likes to read. He even began to read "War and Peace", but only one word per day. After he reads the word for the day, he goes back to his kennel and thinks about it. His goal to become a writer always fails, usually because of the ignorance of the publishers who reject his work constantly.
He has seven siblings. His best friend is Woodstock. His worst enemy is called "the cat next door" which he sometimes calls "World War II ".
